Woodland Vow Renewal near Glacier National Park

My first time at Glacier did not disappoint. The park is absolutely incredible (cascading mountains, gorgeous meadows, wildflowers, so many mountain goats-my personal favorite, and more), but the entire surrounding area is pretty rad, too. While we were there visiting the park, we were able to link up with Jaci Vigil for an amazing styled elopement/vow renewal. Typically I’m not one to partake in styled shoots or overly designed spaces that seem unrealistic for most of my couples, but this was different and I could personally relate to the entire vibe. Anna and Devan are a real married couple that turned this “elopement styled shoot” into a real vow renewal - she wore her wedding dress, he wore his suit, and beneath the massive Montana trees they shared renewed vows for their future.

This totally reminded me of when Matt and I did our own vow renewal a few years ago. Before it was trendy to elope, we didn’t know how to make our dream a reality and settled for a wedding…which was a blast, don’t get me wrong. But two years later, which a little experience under our belt, we decided to renew our vows in Hatchers Pass, Alaska and it was the most amazing moment of my life. In other words, I’m a HUGE supporter of renewing your vows whenever you feel like it. Don’t wait 5, 10, 20 years to reaffirm your promises to each other. As life changes, so do your priorities and your desires. I loved that Matt and I were able to do that in our favorite place on earth, and we look forward to doing it again in a few years (any suggestions on where we should go? 😉).
