Historic Flight Foundation Wedding (Spokane, WA)

After 2 (or was it 3) years of rescheduling because of COVID…Taylor & Mikko finally got married on a perfectly beautiful, slightly windy, day in Spokane, Washington.

The Historic Flight Foundation is such a unique wedding venue - a mix between industrial with gorgeous airplanes as decor and classic with clean lines and neutral colors. It’s an amazing place at Felts Field (a local/small Spokane airport) that you can visit and even enjoy lunch at the Skyway Cafe.

I loved this wedding - it was truly a joy to photograph and experience. All of it was great, but I’m a sucker for “at-home” getting ready moments. Taylor and Mikko are new homeowners and it was especially special to capture Taylor and the girls getting ready in her home. All the personal touches throughout their home made things feel comfortable and intentional at every moment.

If you want the cozy atmosphere of a house, but don’t feel like getting ready at your own, an Airbnb is a great idea. Here is a list to get you started as you look for spaces. Keep in mind, you’ll want open spaces, neutral colors, interesting decor and design choices, patterns, lots and lots of windows & lights (or access to outdoor spaces), etc.
