Farragut State Park & CourthouseWinter Elopement
This intimate Farragut State Park elopement was exactly what I needed before our state-wide quarantine. Michael and Harmony wanted to celebrate their love with a private-vow reading on the beach and a small (4 person) ceremony at the Spokane Courthouse. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the Spokane Courthouse had closed for all weddings. Luckily, a judge offered to come in after hours to officiate their ceremony…in the lobby of the courthouse (since all rooms and usual locations were closed).
My favorite aspect of the entire day was how intentional Michael and Harmony were with their time, their schedule, and the entire vibe. They wanted to focus on their love and their family and remove all other distractions….so they escaped to have a mountain elopement and forgot about the world.
Farragut State Park, located in Northeastern Idaho, is one of my all time favorite locations (not just for weddings). It’s STUNNING and is surrounded by trails, public gathering locations, parks, campgrounds, outdoor activities, etc. My favorite wedding venue within Farragut State Park is at Blackwell Point (easily accessible via Sunrise Day Use Area). If you’re visiting in the summer, Sunrise is a great spot to start your fun regardless if you have a wedding or not.
Enjoy!
